This policy, together with our terms of use (Click To See) (our “Terms”), our Hirers’ rules (Click To See) and Sorters’ rules (Click To See) (together our “Rules”) and any other documents referred to in those Terms and Rules, sets out how any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”), Sorted App Ltd are the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 08118474 and have our registered office at 17 Severn Crescent, Langley, Slough, England, SL3 8UU.

a “Sorter” is a person who has registered with us and who is able to sort Tasks.
references to “we”, “us” or “SortedApp” mean SortedApp Ltd who operate the App;
a “Hirer” is a person who posts a Task from time to time who may select a Sorter to sort their Task;
a “Task” is an errand or odd job which a Hirer would like somebody to carry out;
the “App” is the mobile app or website
Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:
Information that you provide to us at the time of registering to use the App including details provided for us to verify your identity.
Where you register with us as a Sorter:
any material that you post on your Sorter profile;
any information, documents, images, or other materials that you provide to us to confirm any qualifications, certificates, registrations, memberships, authorisations or training that you have;
any references that you provide and any ratings or reviews about you created by Hirers;
details of Tasks that you carry out from time to time;
any details that you provide in order to receive payment from a Hirer for completing a Task.
Where you register with us as a Hirer:
any information relating to you contained within a Task that you post;
any details that you provide for the purposes of paying for a Task; and
details of Tasks that you have had carried out and any payments that you have made through the App.
Any correspondence with us, (whether through the App or otherwise) and any posting that you make on the App;
Details of your visits to our App (including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data) whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the processing of your payment details and the verification of your identity. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the App; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use our reasonable endeavours to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Uses made of the information

We use information held about you in the following ways:
to ensure that content from our App is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or mobile device.
to provide you and every other user of the App with a safe, useful and informative experience when using the App.
to provide you with information or services that you request from, or that we offer through, the App.
to carry out our obligations arising from any agreements entered into between you and us.
to allow you to participate in interactive features of the App, when you choose to do so.
to notify you about changes to the App.
We may also use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by email. If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box on the relevant application form.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties or publish your information as follows:
So that we can verify your identity.
Where you are a Hirer, any information that you provide relating to a Task that you want sorted (including your App contact details and your location). Any rating or review of a Sorter that you post on the App will be displayed publicly on the App.
Where you are a Sorter, any information contained on your Sorter profile (including any documents confirming that you possess certain qualifications, certificates, registrations, memberships, authorisations or training) will be available to any user of the App.
In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms or our Rules; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any user of the App or any third party. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection.

You may ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes, either by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data, or by contacting us at [email protected]

The App may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

Access to information

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. If you make an access require, we may charge you a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
